This book brought to life the battles of the very first Americans, particularly the endorsers of the Declaration of Independence and those that dealt with in the Revolutionary War. The Founding Papas were not ordinary people. They were theorists and truly understood the fundamental nature of humans. Every one of their understandings and also expertise added to the beginning files of the U.S.A.. We owe them a tremendous financial debt.

The concept that the legal rights of man originated from God and also not goverment was entirely unique at the time and is fundamental to the Declaration. Killing England Audiobook Free. All this ended up being very “self-evident” from reviewing Murder England. However, this is not understood by lots of Americans today, who count on the goverment believing that goverment offers and shields these legal rights. The Founders saw King George III’s punitive actions on the colonies very first hand. These are clarified plainly in Murder England as well as the reader can see the basis of the Expense of Legal rights, the very first ten changes to the United States Constitution.

I also involved comprehend the events the War of independence and appreciate the extraordinary sacrifices made by the soldiers. I assumed I knew a whole lot regarding the Founders however did not know that Benjamin Franklin damaged ties to his loyalist son William or fully valued Thomas Jefferson’s individual problems with an extremely ill wife. I discovered a great deal regarding the payments of individuals like Francis Marion, the Swamp Fox, John Paul Jones, LaFayette, as well as Baron von Steuben. Benedict Arnold’s treason is defined thoroughly enough to understand that it was dreadful.

So primarily, Killing England gave me a greater appreciation of the events of the founding of the United States of America and also the men that gave their lives as well as lot of money to make sure that we can reside in this most fantastic country. Killing England is an easy read and I especially liked the maps that show the movements of the armies and navies during major battles. The events come to life. This is the best book Bill O’Reilly has written to date. The subject matter is relevant, especially with the attack going on currently on America’s history in the classroom and beyond. O’Reilly brings the founding fathers to life in a way that is refreshing and different. All history should be taught in this fashion. I love the way he explains the Revolutionary War and exactly how it was fought. It’s so important to teach our children about the Revolutionary war, especially now– at this moment in time. Our children need to know who the founding fathers were, what they intended when they set up a REPRESENTATIVE REPUBLIC and how the government was designed to be the servant of the people, not the people to be the servants of the government. Power vested in the government was an abhorrence to the founding fathers. Our federal government was meant to only protect America from outside enemies. Bill O’Reilly – Killing England Audio Book Online. I have read all of O’Reilly’s “Killing” books. I enjoyed them all and learned many facts that are not well known unless you are a historian and/or interested in history. This book, in my opinion, is by far the best of these. It is well documented historically, and I like his writing style. It is succinct and to the point, yet able to keep the reader’s interest. I listened to the Audible version and the footnotes were read. I found these chock full of interesting asides to the story being told. For me, the movement toward Independence was given life. I hear Jeopardy questions about this war and I never knew more than to recognize places and names, like, Benedict Arnold and Bunker Hill. Now I know the where. who. and why. I highly recommend this book to anyone, but think It would be an excellent resource in schools. This is the best of the “killing” books yet. I have read easily a hundred histories, bigraphies, military analyses on the revolutionary years, and this book presents the story in a structurally explanatory manner, getting the salient events across, while placing the players in the realistic human situation they faced. Lot’s of telling detail left out of other books, but never is the story lost or sidetracked.

In the Patton and Reagan books, O’Reiily advanced interesting and quite defensible historical conjectures, causing concern as he had much data to support them, but not fully conclusive data in my mind, Here, he does none of this, and this is good, as the story is do important it is inappropriate for such distractions.
